How is ki-projects™ licensed?
ki-projects™ is offered as a subscription service. All plans are based on an annual subscription, although free 30 day trials are available for both editions.
How does the web-based access work; do I have to install software?
You do not have to install software. ki-projects™ can be accessed from anywhere, as long as you have access to a browser and the internet.
What browsers will it work on?
ki-projects™ currently works best on Mozilla Firefox (which you can download for free) but it also works on recent versions of Microsoft Internet Explorer, Apple Safari, and Google Chrome.
I am worried about security. How do I know my data and information is safe?
ki-projects™ is designed to satisfy the security needs of governments and banks. It includes a complete set of security features, including access controls, data encryption, and server processing. In addition, all communications between the client and server is encrypted with HTTPS using SSL to prevent eavesdropping on data as it passes from our servers to your desktop.
How many people in our organisation can have access to ki-projects™?
ki-projects™ allows for any number of people to have access. You can add more users for $50 per month per additional user (Professional edition) or $25 per month per additional user (Standard edition).
Can people outside of our organisation use ki-projects™?
ki-projects™ is designed to promote teamwork. Because it is web-based, anyone can have access - both inside your organisation and outside. If you purchased ki-projects™ Professional your administrator has the power to assign usernames, passwords and access rights.
How do you control what information people can see?
ki-projects™ Standard and Professional editions both provide easy-to-use administrative controls that allow you to set what specific users can see and do. If you don’t want to share information, you can keep it private.
Where is my data and information stored?
ki-projects™ stores your data and information with our US-based hosting partner, Gogrid. All features such as backup, Internet, power, security, and hardware are included.
Can I have my data stored on my own computer?
ki-projects™ has export functions to download your data onto your computer.
Our organisation’s business processes do not fit exactly into the ki-projects™ framework, can we customize the software?
ki-projects™ Professional allows for some customization, which can be done from its Administration controls. Our software engineers can also customize the application to any specifications you require.
How long does it take to get started?
ki-projects™ can be deployed instantly to new users. It is as simple as initiating a subscription or sending someone an email invitation to log-in. New users typically take one hour to set up their organisation’s preferences.
Is ki-projects™ training available?
Most users and organisations do not require formal training. Should you have unique needs, please contact us for individualized, fee-based training.
I need to deploy ki-projects™ within my organisation. Do you provide deployment support?
Most organisations will not need our help to implement ki-projects™, but we do offer deployment support on a fee basis. Please contact us for more information.
Can we try out ki-projects™ before paying for it?
All ki-projects™ plans come with a free 30-day trial. You will not be charged if you cancel your plan within 30 days of signing up. If you cancel your plan after your trial, you will not be charged again but you are responsible for charges that you have incurred up until your cancellation.
Do I get a 30-day free trial if I upgrade from the Standard edition to Professional?
Yes, a 30-day trial comes with all new Professional accounts.
Can our organisation host the application on our servers?
We do offer an enterprise solution for large organisations who require their data to reside on their servers. Please contact us for more information
How many projects can I manage at once?
Users on pay plans can manage as many projects as they want. There is no upper limit on the total number of projects you can manage. Users on the free plan can manage one active project at a time.
